2009 Session Roundup

The most recent legislative session was a struggle but I am proud of my accomplishments.  With many of my colleagues I stood against tax increases that will harm or area’s ability to create jobs. 

The economy makes things hard enough; we do not need the increased burden of more taxes.

 

I was also successful in passing two bills that will ease some of our health care problems.  One bill will help with access to immunizations, especially in rural areas, and the other will make sure that prescription drugs stay off the black market. 

Looking forward I will continue to push legislation that will bring jobs back to our communities through the use of our natural resources.  I hope I can count on your support as we move through these challenging times.
